Schedule of Events:
Sunday June 22:  Check in 4-6 pm/Class: Overview of Richmond Research (Robin Pyatt Bellamy) 7-8pm/Group meeting after.
Monday June 23:  Virginia Historical Society, 10 am.  Once done there proceed to Library of Virginia or on your own/ Dinner:  Goodfellas 5-7pm/Class: Intro to Piatts (awaiting confirmation...Richard O. Piatt?) 7-8 pm/Group meeting after.
Tuesday June 24:  Library of Virginia, 9am or on your own/Dinner:  Easy Goer 5-7 pm/ Class: Brick Walls (Sherolynn Pyeatt) 7-8/Group meeting after.
Wednesday June 25:  Library or other research/Dinner:  Annabelle Lee  Riverboat, boarding at 6:30.  Cruise is from 7-9:30pm and features a full southern buffet and entertainment.  No class or group meeting this evening as cruise will probably take the whole evening
Thursday June 26th:  Research venue of your choice/Dinner:  Cary Street Cafe 5-7/Class:  DNA for Genealogy (Laverne Ingram Piatt)  7-8/Group meeting after.
Friday June 27th:  Research venue of your choice/Dinner on your own/No class scheduled/Meeting to be determined by the group vote on Thursday.
Saturday June 28th:  Checkout.

Alternate Activities (For those who aren't researching)

Accomodations:
Housing will be at Gladding Residence Center (Gladding features a landscaped courtyard, two laundry rooms, meeting rooms, a game room with food vending machines and a computer lab.), Virginia Commonwealth University .  Rooms are double (bunk beds) with four rooms and two bathrooms to each suite.  Facility is air conditioned. See registration link for cost.

Location/Directions:
Arriving from the East by Interstate 64 West - coming from Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, etc.

1.Take Exit #190 for Fifth Street and Downtown/Coliseum.
2.Turn right at the eighth traffic light, onto Main Street.
3.Follow Main Street for 11 blocks to Belvidere Street (turn right).
4.Go three blocks to Broad Street (turn left).
5.Drive three blocks to Shafer Street (turn left); the entrance to the VCU   West Broad Parking Deck/Welcome Center is on the right.

Arriving from the North by Interstate 95 South - coming from Washington, Fredericksburg, Kings Dominion, etc.

1.Take Exit #79 to right towards Powhite Parkway (Route I-195). Bear left off the ramp onto I-195.
2.Take the exit for Hamilton and Broad Streets.
3.Follow Hamilton Street to Monument Avenue (second left) and turn left.
4.Follow Monument Avenue east; its name will change to Franklin Street.
5.Follow Franklin Street to Harrison Street (turn left); drive one and one-half blocks on Harrison Street. The entrance to the VCU West Broad  Parking Deck/Welcome Center is on the right.

Arriving from the South by Interstate 95 North - coming from Petersburg, North Carolina, etc.

1.Take Exit #74A onto Downtown Expressway, I-195 (The exit ramp is actually on the James River Bridge).
2. Drive 1/2 mile, take exit for Belvidere Street (U.S. #1 & # 301).
3. Drive two blocks along Canal Street to Belvidere Street.
4. Go three blocks to Broad Street (turn left).
5. Drive three blocks to Shafer Street (turn left); the entrance to the VCU West Broad Parking Deck/Welcome Center is on the right.

Arriving from the West by Interstate 64 East - coming from Charlottesville, etc. top

1. Take Exit #186 towards the Powhite Parkway.
2. Take the exit for Hamilton and Broad streets.
3. Follow Hamilton Street to Monument Avenue (second left) and turn left.
4. Follow Monument Avenue east; its name will change to Franklin Street.
